I can't get green off my mind

So admittedly I have had a bit of a fixation with olive green this past fall/winter.  Then I saw Jason Wu's Fall 2015 collection and it just made me realize that I need more olive green in my life. At the moment in the shape of a handbag.

The options are a little light given we are already into the Spring 2015 offerings, but mark my word this classic, neutral is going to be the one to watch heading into Fall this year.

In clockwise order, from top left: Fendi via Barneys.com $4,250, Foley + Corinna via Bloomingdales.com $295, Iris & Ink via theoutnet.com £225 and Burberry.com £2,295

Bucket bags. The new 'it' shape

I remember bucket bags in the 80s. They remind me most of my Aunt, who always seemed to be on the cutting edge of everything fashionable. Last year I got the itch for those bucket bags from the 80s and got a vintage Dooney & Bourke, like this one here. At the time I didn't think there was any way to work one into my work look, but since then I have seen them spring up everywhere.

Bucket bags may be the new it bag shape for the workplace. If nothing else it is nice to carry a bag with less sharp edges than any other bag in my closet.

Anya Hindmarch via Net-a-Porter, $1,200, Baggu via Need Supply, $140, Loewe via Net-a-Porter, $2,600, Asos £18, Saint Laurent £1,290, Mango $44.99, The Row via Barneys, £2,725, Gucci via , $1,450, Zara drawstring bag - no longer available, similar option here, $44.99

Labolsina. The perfect tote for work and play

A tote in this day and age is an indispensable accessory. A tote that I can travel with is even more essential. The perfect tote can carry my laptop, something to keep me warm on my journey and those other travel essentials, be it a snack, a book or reading material for work.

Labolsina is an Italian brand, with a broader European influence, which launched in 2010. They took the idea of collecting furnishing fabrics that were used to decorate luxury hotels and repurposing them for handbags. I took my newly gifted Labolsina on a weekend trip to Paris, which is seriously my last getaway before entering the work world and shipping my passport off to the UKBA.

This was the perfect bag to welcome spring (hello gorgeous coral red!) in the city of love. While I adore the color, if you are looking for something more subtle to go with your work look or a different style check out their full eshop here which ships internationally!

While I am waiting for my background check to be completed for my new job here in London, this weekend shoot will have to suffice. As soon as my first work trip does happen I will certainly be bringing this bag along and hopefully will get to snap some pictures of it in work ready action.

Wearing a white bag to work. Really?

I think that while there is certainly a place for a white bag in the work place it isn't exactly practical. I want a bag that I can wear Monday-Friday as well as on the weekends. A bag that isn't going to be attacked by pens the world over, not to mention highlighters, spaghetti, and those dark blue jeans I might be wearing on the weekend.

That being said the idea of having a white bag is so luxurious, because it is so precious, that deep down I really want one. Then I saw this little number from Forever21 for £24.90 (or $29.80). This is the kind of luxury that if it does get ruined in 3 months time I won't fall into a fit of depression, it is pleather after all, right?

Taking your lunch to work

Continuing on the theme of being healthy, taking your lunch to work is a great option and one that I am all for. Following up on my post from Monday, you can also find great lunch and snack totes for those of us on the go via A Fine Choice, here, specifically.

My problem is that I want to take my lunch to work but I almost always buy my lunch. For those of you that find yourself in the same situation, but who may want to just look like you are bringing your lunch, these are my new obsessions.

This isn't something I would be carrying to a work meeting or if I were out with a client but I want to use this all the time I am not in those situations particularly on the weekends. I just love this bag so much that I couldn't NOT share it.  Buen provecho.

Showing yourself some love on Valentine's Day

I am not a big believer in Valentine's Day. I just don't buy the, well the calendar says it is February 14th, so now we HAVE to be romantic. Isn't that as unromantic as it can get? That doesn't mean though that it isn't a great excuse to treat yourself to a little something.

So this Valentine's Day why wait for someone to make some grand gesture, go out and make yourself happy. We certainly don't wait for people to give us anything in the workplace, do we? No. We go for it and take what we believe we have earned and deserve, thankyouverymuch.  Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day!

Continuing with the theme of Valentine's Day I thought I would make a confession of love.

After all the Swedes seem unable to do wrong. Sadly, & Other Stories is only available, currently, in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

Here are some things that I LOVE right now. If you have not checked them out though, seriously visit www.stories.com and get ready for some major butterflies.

Deadly Ponies. Loving these bags + more

I happened upon Deadly Ponies while scoping out some London shops online. As soon as I saw one of the bags which was being carried at Celestine Eleven I knew I was in love. So I popped on over to their site to see what this New Zealand brand was all about, and I loved what I saw.

Deadly Ponies ships direct, free of charge, worldwide. Definitely check them out. I am certainly crushing on everything at the moment.

Negotiating must have

If only I weren't in sales. If only I were someone sitting down at the negotiating table. A deal closer per se. If I were, I would want this to be my pencil pouch. I would whip this little baby out so fast and just sit him on the conference table and not bat an eyelash. Casually grab a pen or a note pad out of it at the beginning of a meeting and just get down to business.

This little guy seems to be sold out everywhere at the moment but I will certainly be keeping an eye out for it. You know, for all those deal closing women in my life, because sadly it doesn't quite fit into mine. *sigh*
