Spring cleaning for your work wardrobe

It seems that Spring has shown its face across most parts of the Northern Hemisphere in the last week and a half. This past weekend in London it was a balmy 19C (66F) and with that I packed up, prematurely as the weather this week has proved, most of my heavier coats and wool sweaters. I am just ready for Spring! Nevertheless though, Spring is on its way and I am lusting over warmer weather options. I am looking for lighter materials, open knits and cleaner looks. Thanks to Zara and Need Supply for everything here.

COS is coming

I first discovered COS in 2011 in Berlin. It was like walking into a dream, a wonderfully structured and neutral colored dream. Since then, through my travels, I have taken every opportunity to go to a COS if I was in a city that had one. Up until now that meant that you had to be in Asia, the Middle East or Europe. Good news is that the first COS stateside is slated to open in Spring 2014 in NYC. Looks like expansion could ramp up quickly with talk of having up to 10 stores in the US before the end of 2014.

What I love about COS, which is owned by H&M, is that the clothing is basic but the details, the structure and the fabrics make it all lust worthy and perfect for work. The only problem? You might spend your whole paycheck here given that they also do killer accessories, bags and men's clothing.
